CHASSIS INSPECTION COURSES
IICL offers the following one-day courses:
Objectives:

maintenance of over-the-road chassis in safe and operable condition.
Highway safety depends upon a commitment by all parties to
conduct thorough and periodic chassis inspection to ensure that
equipment is delivered and maintained in good condition, with
repairworthy defects identified and corrected.

high chassis inspection standards and competency of personnel in the
intermodal industry.
What
You Will Learn:
Students
review in detail IICL's Guide for Container Chassis Inspection, Third
Edition, which includes sections on types of chassis with accompanying
photographs; inspection procedures; repairworthiness and typical damage
and wear with accompanying photographs of chassis conditions; and
inspection criteria for chassis, as well as sections on Federal Motor
Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
Vendor representatives who are experts in the specialized fields of
brakes, tires and factory production give presentations that offer
valuable, up-to-date product information.
Vendor presentations are designed to give students the opportunity
to ask questions and discuss and solve problems they face during daily
operations.
