The IICL Container and Chassis Inspector Certification Examinations are computer based examinations provided at numerous proctored test centers around the world, and each exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions in English. The traditional pen and paper version of the examination is no longer offered. The next certification examinations will be held from 17 October – 1 November.

Registrations fees are $475 USD for the container and $375 USD for the chassis examinations. Each student must 1. create a user account, register/pay for the examination and 2. select a specific location, date and time to participate in the examinations.

Early registrants will be given priority for their choices of dates and times, therefore, we encourage early registration and scheduling to ensure seating.

IICL Online Dry Van Training Course & Preparatory Assistant for the Container Inspector Certification Examination?

The training module was developed to assist persons interested in widening the knowledge about container inspections and repairs.

It also assists as preparation assistant to those planning to take the IICL inspector certificate exam. The course addresses and highlights important topics that inspectors, repair workers and personnel involved with maintenance and repair of containers should be aware of.

Candidates to the IICL certification examination should have a good understanding and study the inspection and repair manuals and will likely find the course useful for their preparation. At the end of the course a test simulation takes place for students to assess their level of knowledge and also in preparation for the exam.

The online course does not replace the need to study the manuals but instead facilitates the understanding of the main topics addressed on the manuals. The IICL recommends that whenever possible all individual subscribers and exam candidates should attend field practice to solidify their knowledge. The IICL provides remote assistance to clarify technical questions related to the course via email.

After signing up for the Online Dry Van Training Course students have unlimited access to the course for 6 months. The course consists of 3 modules having slides and movies addressing inspections, repairs including proper inspection practices and recommended repair criteria selection.

The training modules are based on the latest guides for container inspection, repairs and technical bulletins. A test simulating the exam is built into the training module enabling students to evaluate their knowledge.  Remote assistance is available via e-mail.

Upon satisfactory completion of the Online course students can print their certificate of completion.

NOTE: IICL Online Dry Van Training Course is NOT a substitute for the Container Inspector Certification Examination.  All who wish to obtain the IICL inspector’s certificate will still need to register and participate in the IICL Container Inspector Certification Examination.

Individuals who pass either of the IICL inspection examinations will have an industry-recognized level of competency. This competency can be used as a foundation for continuing their education process in the industry with the potential for them to move on to more specialized industry related issues. The certification is valid for five (5) years after which an inspector must pass the examination to become re-certified.

 

2020 EXAMINATION REFUND POLICIES and CANCELLATION SCHEDULE

Registrations may be cancelled before the examination date; however, IICL does not retain credit towards future tests. all fees for candidates canceling before the test date will be refunded according to the schedule below.

Refunds will only be made if a candidate notifies IICL prior to one of the cancellation dates by e-mail info@iicl.org

No Refunds after 30 September 2020
